I need help with my soundcard Creative SB Live 5.1 Digital and these KX driver.
Thats the way, I did the installation: 1. Uninstall all things of creative, also with Driver Cleaner. 2. uninstall soundcards of devicemanager. 3. restart 4. install KX driver, it found 2 devices: -Kx 10k1 Audio - Game Port -Kx 10k1 Audio - Generic 5. Restart, all seem to be correct Then i start winamp, it plays(!) the file, i can also see the visualizer, which means, that the file is played, but i dont hear anything oO. in other audio programs i dont hear anything too. E.g. the windows sounds, nohing! But the driver seem to work... Please help me, thx Last edited by Ananas; Feb 23, 2007 at 12:58 PM. |

kX was unable to detect the specific model that you have, so it seems that either you are using an old version of the driver, or you have an unsupported model (possibly DELL OEM model?)
Do you know the specific (SB0xxx) model number of your card? What version of kX did you install? As of 3538j, I think that all (supported) Live 5.1 models should be detected and work correctly. If you are using an earlier version than that, you may want to install the latest version (currently 3538m). Aside from the above, kX swaps the front and rear by default, so if your speakers are only 2 channel, than you will not hear anything unless you disable that option (in kX Mixer) or connect your speakers to the jack for analog rear. I am glad that you got a working.
![]() Technically these newer versions are beta versions, so I guess that is why they are not posted on the main site. |
