clicks on kx asioless recording : coax patched on rec l/r

MY SYstem :

msi k7t pro2 a - Via Apollo chipset

amd 1700+ XP

sblive ( sb0100 recognized as sb0102 5.1 [e800] ) attached to an extension kit from Hoontech

providing digital I/O opt. + coax
-> this extension is connected via coax to an AD/DA converter, Di Port Mic PreAMP as Master

matrox g 450

winXPro ( acpi conifg )

I'm using Cubase SX with Asio direktX full duplex drv. (no kX Asio ).
prolog "coax" is directly connected to epilog "rec l/r" .
another pair goes out of the prolog to compressor and reverb to monitor
over epilog "analog l/r" .

During recording everytone sounds fine: no Drop outs , No Problems.
When listening to the recorded Waves I'm hearing clicks and pops as heard on vinyl !

"bones" mentioned the problem in

I spent the hours reading through the forum.

perhaps I'm too tired but I couldn't find a threat dealing with this issue.

Is there a solution to avoid using declickers, denoisers -> restauration tools ?

does the clicking come from bad buffer settings ? or ... ?
