Hardware not present or available

Hi, I'm using a Creative Audigy SB0090 with the internal IO panel and the latest version of KX.. and I'm getting a "Hardware not present or available" error whenever I initialize any of my VST programs. The ones that do recognize it and give it the "test" give me this error:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...lipBoard-2.jpg
"The test was not successful. The current setup did not produce reliable sync information"

Not only that but also whenever I try raising the volume in my front panel by the remote control or inserting an SPDIF in the input it doesnt give me any indicators like before.. I cant even open up the KX ASIO control panel

I dont really understand why this is happening.. I remember using the onboard ASIO on my motherboard for a while but even disabled the soundcard before installing the Audigy and the Kx drivers.. Someone please help.

(PS: sorry for probably posting in the wrong sub-forum I didnt realize there was a section solely for ASIO until after posting)

Have you tried do a full uninstall/reinstall?
Someone else mentioned a similar problem after installing 3539, and the above fixed it for them.

However after reinstall and boot I did get a number of notification boxes saying "Error initializing secondary DirectSound". Five of these boxes in a row..

Hi, fixed the "Error initializing secondary DirectSound" by enabling the Nvidia built-in motherboard driver in device manager and restarting..
But still Kx ASIO refuses to work.. I cant even access its control panel!
Somebody please help this problem is quite persistent and nonsensical..

System Specs

you need to make sure hardware acceleration is set to full, that fixed the problem when i had this issue

I already did that with dxdiag, didnt do anything for me
After setting it to full and testing It tells me in the end "your soundcard does not support hardware buffering. Sounds will only play back from software buffers"

Could it be that the registry entries are corrupt or the built-in motherboard built-in sound driver is affecting KX? I also noticed when I try the speakers test in KX Mixer it tells me "failed to create sound"..

I got everything to work except for ASIO which is why I installed KX in the first place.

That error is usually due to hardware acceleration not being set to full, so double check that.

If you disable your onboard sound (in the BIOS), make sure that you also remove any applications/drivers associated with it.

I would do the following:
Remove kX.
Reboot in Safe Mode.
Verify that the kX directory and the kX registry key was deleted.
Check Device Manager (Sound, Video and Game Controllers), and make sure that the sound card (or other phantom devices) is not listed.
Reboot into normal Windows.
Re-install kX.

BTW:
It is kX 3539 that you are using, right (you said latest version, but did not give specific version)?

What OS are you using?

I am glad you got it working.

Generally the main web site only has stable non-beta versions of the driver.
3539 may have not been added to the web site due to issues with Win 2000 (just a guess), and 3537 was the last non-beta version.

In any case, always check this forum for the latest updates.
