Random noise mixed in with playback in SONAR
I have been trying out version 3531 with Sonar 2.2 using the WDM drivers. I am very happy with latency, and synchronization but I have a problem with random noise being occasionally mixed in when I press play. Normally it works fine, but about 1 in 5-10 times I will get loud crackly static type noise mixed in. I simply press stop and play again and it goes away.
Any suggestions? thanks Mark ps Well done for all the hard work on the KxDrivers. If I can get this noise thing sorted out, I will finally be able to ditch the Microsoft ones (I gave up on the Creative ones ages ago) |

some more info in the hopes that someone can help me:
I have the Live Value (CT4670) with Windows XP Home. I also have the digital i/o module connected. The problem is only in SONAR - Windows Media Player etc play audio with no issues at all It happens whether I use outputs 4/5 or 6/7 (0/1 doesn't work well for me) Mark |

OK I have a solution now - set the slider to 20ms latency rather than 10ms. It's just about good enough for playing soft synths.
