It sounds like it may be a model that is not supported by kX, do you know the model number (SB0xxx) of the card?

Its work!!!
The model of the card is SB0240 (so is written on board) but kx writes that this SB0224. Yesterday I have installed 3539: all works, but I can not change master volume by buttons on multimedia keyboard. Whatever its OK! at last) May be 3538 is not support SB0240...

SB0240 and SB0224 are very different models (one is a Live! 5.1 and the other is an Audigy 2). Are you sure that it does not say SB0244? Also, the SB0240 should work with 3538. |

Aside from the model number strangeness, it sounds like there is a problem with the seating of the card in the PCI slot. I would remove the card and re-seat it in the slot (or (preferably) try another slot if possible).
Also make sure that Plug and Play is turned off in your computers BIOS. |
