System locks up with KX drivers

First off, great driver. This is a great idea to have other options.

I am running Windows Vista SP1, and found KX because the creative update makes my SB Live! sound muffled. Used KX 3538/39/40/41.

It could be a few minutes to a few hours, and my system freezes. No blue screen or anything.

I've installed an older creative driver that has limited functionality, but would like a solution so I can reinstall KX.

I read another poster from 2004 and there was no solution. I hope someone can help me.

I have a similar issue with a SB Live (CT4620) on a Dell box I'm hoping to use to replace an aging AMD yum-cha special. Same card, same OS same SP works fine on the old box. Feels like a hardware incompatibility to me but I'm damned if I know where to start ... so I'm going to try an Audigy instead
