v.3532 error on modulation frequency
Hy everybody. I noticed today, that in v.3532, the modulation frequency timming is not as good as v.3531
I have some soundfonts that uses the frequency in sync with my song tempo. When I reinstalled today v.3532, I noticed that the sync is gone, because the frequency of the modulation is faster than it used to be. Anybody knows why? Thanks! could you pls test this with 3533rc2/final
pls specify if the problem isn't manifested when using Creative drivers also try tweaking 'Synth Compatibility' flags [Settings->Synth Compatibility] pls post a detailed report here /Eugene |

no problem with older versions.
Hi Eugene!
I will test what you suggest. In advance, I tell you that this timing thing only occurs on v.3532. In 3531, everything is Ok. |

by the way, I don't have any creative drivers. I have an APS card, and a long time ago, when I used aps drivers, everything was right. And as I said, the problem isnt' manifested on 3531 drivers.

3533b
Hi Eugene! In 3533b the modulation frequency still seems to be different than before. It sounds very fast, and the vibrato sounds funny (much faster than before) . Did anybody notice the same issues? Thanks in advance: Lisandro Puzzolo

so, have you tried clearing the 'legacy modulation' flag?.. /E |

Fast modulation
I also noticed that the vibratos were faster on projects i did with the creative drivers. I found the modulation speed to be about 1 cycle per second faster than it should be compared to the value set in vienna. A value of 5 produces around 6 HZ. With the legacy flag unchecked, the frequency is only .5 cycle fast but still noticably faster than with the creative drivers.

flag unchecked
Hi Eugete. I've cleared the Legacy Modulation flag, but the vibratos are still very fast... I recently had to play a song I've been working with older KX versions, and some instruments sounds very very funny, and I had to remove all the vibratos from those instruments. By the way... I rebooted my PC in order ty hear the flag changes.. Is it necesary? Thanks In advance: Lisandro Puzzolo

please Eugene! I beg you to divide the LFO frequency by two. I'm using Versión: 5, 10, 00, 3538 - debug
Since 3532 the frequency is DOUBLE as it sould be. I'm using EMU APS. Don't know if is matters, but PLEASE fix it, because all my instruments sounds TERRIBLE because of this wrong frequency. A 4 hz LFO freq. sounds like an 8hz freq. I tryed the synth compatibility checkboxes without any noticable change. I hope you can divide the LFO freq. at least for the APS card. Thanks in advance! Lisandro Puzzolo. |

pls remind me the exact SF2 parameter name you are referring two (as displayed by Vienna) -- by e-mail -- I will add an additional compatibility flag in 3538m
