v32/problem at first setup

i'm a new kx user, so it'll be hard for me to be specific.
I wee told about kX' existance yesterday.
I downloaded vx.32.
I seted it up and after installing the package,checking the chexbox install kx audio drivers, the message :"error running kxsetup.exe" is shown.
simply to try another way, i loaded kxsetup.exe from explorer.
it install drivers and stuff. it reboot and after that, wondows wont load at all after m.s. login.
after i press RESET , evrything load but an error message comes telling something like : " setup isnt complete , if this message is shown but kx is running, ignore it.
So, now i got no sound at all and it stink.
I tried older versions and it do da same, almost.
Oh, i use win98se and my soundcard is a SBLive! 5.1 code sb0001.

I've been able, after many installs/uninstalls , to set version x28. it work, but i get mono sound and MAN! that's a fuckin complicated toy!
