Seems that the Asio is not working on my card when i use it with ableton it slows the application down and can't get any sound from my vst plugins.
I tested it with Traktor and same result no sound using all latests versions. Direct sound is working fine. The Asio on 3541 is fine. |

Problems confirmed: massive application slowdown, 24bit ASIO still produces extreme noise (after a few seconds of holding notes I get some of the original sound). Changing the latency has no effect.
@DjGioD: Try to change ASIO to 16bit and test if some other sync-modes in ASIO panel are more useful for you. For me everything is fine with Map/Timer/Event at 16/48. Any suggestions for correct 24bit ASIO playback? |

Same here:
No ASIO In or Out (for 10k1 and 10k2) kX 3545a SB0228/SB0090 Windows XP (I know another confirmation was probably not needed, but wanted to note that the issue is with both 10k1/10k2 models) @BuzzT 24 Bit ASIO playback with kX 3544 seemed to work fine for me (although I did not do that much testing since I have only had a card that can do it for about 5 days now). Last edited by Russ; Aug 12, 2008 at 11:06 PM. |

I tested ASIO driver in all modes (48 Khz) in FL Studio 7.
It works in only two: Map/Irq/Event (10k2) and Map/Irq/Sleep (10k2) |

Thanks for all the effort in these drivers but the same problems that I am having still exist.Audigy 2 + WAVE HQ = NOT WORKING (Control Panel says Failed To Play Test Tone.) Audigy 2 + Master Mixer = CRACKLING Wondering can I fix these through buffer settings or something simple. |

Software to test Wave HQ
I use MPC Homecinema for dvds, so Wave HQ is obviously important to get the surround sound. Selecting Wave HQ in mpc I get a HUGE error report from mpc with title "Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codes or filters installed on the system." Further details I can give if needed. Testing Wave HQ in the control panel as I said before, vista gives an error, unable to play test tone. If I try to use Wave HQ in winamp I get a direct sound error created from winamp. Software to test Master Mixer I use Winamp 5.541 for music and I get crackling (ok its not horrible, but its constant and hasn't gone away for the past 3-4 driver releases). If you need more exact info on what version this came in I don't mind going back through versions and testing. But basically Master Mixer always crackles in the latest releases. The only output device I find myself using, is the "SPDIF/AC3 Output" - perfect (except its only stereo). I can give any details if needed, i would love for these little "bugs" to be squished. Same problems with 3545b like before when trying to get 24bit ASIO working. Every change I make ends up in noise, no matter what sync mode or latency I use. No special dsp setup.
It would be nice if anyone has useful tips. |

Audigy 2 Platinum EX 24 Bit
Hi,
Having problems recording 24 bit ASIO on this card. I think it was working a couple of revisions ago. I can un-mute the inputs but they seem to be muting themselves when I go back to check them. It is recording 16 bit files (when 24 bit is selected). Sorry, haven't had a lot of time lately but would love to get 24/48 working. Thanks for all the hard work! |

@Russ: Usually KRISTAL Audio Engine and Ableton Live, I also tried to test it with minihost - same results: Noise at the beginning - a crackling sound after about 5 to 7 seconds playback. I don't think it's a software related bug. Any ideas?

Hmm, I have only done light testing thus far, but it seems to work OK for me. I have tested with foobar2000 (playback only), Kristal Audio Engine, and Reaper (demo).
How well does 16 Bit ASIO work for you? How are you testing? i.e. In Kristal, if you just set it to LiveIN, with no VST's loaded, such that any audio basically just passes through (i.e. from ASIO input to output), at like 8 ms latency, do you still get noise? What type of noise are we talking about? (i.e. do you hear nothing but noise, etc?) |

Audigy 2 Platinum EX 24 bit
OK, had a little more time
It seems that 3544a is the last rev to provide 24 bit recording with this card. After that all I get is 16 bit files. 3544a seens to work quite well. The muting on later revisions is not working right either. I can enable inputs and outputs and they are gray when I go back. Let me know if you need more info Thanks! |

Hi!
Audiodock isn't always initialized, usually I need to boot, reload the firmware and reboot again. Does not always work though. |

WaveHQ is not working for me with this buid 3545b, last working version 3541. Foobar2000 even do not start to play when I select WaveHQ as output device.
