Please help! kxMixer keeps giving me "Failed to create sound" under Windows Vista!
With the speaker test.
This is with 3540. |

This is known issue.
(kX's speaker test depends on DirectSound interfaces that no longer present in Vista) Just don't use/ignore this "Speaker Test" feature.

Well, there're a few issues with multichannel setup in Vista. Probably you'll find some usefull info in "version xxx. released" and "version xx. bug reports" threads (starting with v3539). It happened that noone of "experienced kX guys" is using Vista - so there's no too much detailed / 100% correct info on kX+Vista (not even mentioning step-by-step setup/config guides or so for it).

I also met with this problem, but I am not using Vista.
