Hell-o all
I've discovered a bug in kX's 3533 DirectSound support. When I start to adjust balance using DirectSound the playback rate changes! E.g. when i do 100% left the sound plays twice faster tested on Win 2000 Pro SP3, DirectX 9 For DS output Winamp 2.91 was used

yep, confirmed
this is a serious bug that manifests itself (according to our tests) on 10k1-based cards only. if you already have '3533' release, simply update your 'kx.sys' file (by download the kxdrv3533_fix.rar, and unpacking it to your system32\drivers folder) if not, make sure you download the '3533b' release! browse the official mirrors for the URLs /Eugene |

New fix kxdrv3533b-update.exe caused some permanent crackling for me (KT133, Live! 5.1 SB0102, WinME). After the reinstallation from kxdrv3533-full.exe problem was fixed. I had never before this problem (versions 3528 - 3533). What has been changed in kx.sys?

3533 had a bug (wrong register access) which affected realtime panning
3533b, 3532, 3531, 3530 etc. don't have such bug 3533 development releases didn't have this bug either there are no more changes between 3533 & 3533b, so, your issue is not related to this fix /Eugene |

2 Eugene
Thanks for your quick reply. 2 Max Shepelev Each configuration, IMHO, has his own limits and bugs in hardware and software (mainly in driver hands.sys ).

>> Sometimes fixing one bug results in hundreds of new ones in most unexpected places
not this time ![]() I do remember the exact change I've made right before releasing 3533 for public (well, I tested it for 10k2 board, but not for 10k1) /Eugene |
