GSIF Latency changing

Hi Eugene...

first let me start with a total appreciation and admiration of what u do with these drivers... amazing.

I would like to inform about a bug i noticed. I have 3233 drivers, and at first the GSIF latency (i play mostly Grand Piano using GS) is acceptable. It's not as low as the ASIO latency, but it's reasonable for realtime playback. The problem is that from time to time the latency rises, and it becomes noticeable. The thing that kind of 'fixes' that is going to the ASIO panel and changing the latency there (some kind of a 'reset') back and forth between different latencies. It works most of the time. But then there is an additional problem. Sometimes that Giga sound starts to get 'dirty', and only changing the ASIO latency to 40ms or above (!) fixed that. But it seems that changing the ASIO latency also affects the GSIF latency.

I hope this information will help u find the problem faster... If u need any more tests to get more information, just send me a message here (or on ICQ#3809447 if it's more comfortable for u).

Thanks a lot,
Slayer

thanks for your report

this is the first release of our GSIF driver, so, I'm sure there are a lot of ways for improvements
I'll keep an eye on this issue with the latencies...

/Eugene
