crackles while playing back music

Hi all!

I have that (somewhat common) problem of cracks and pops with the kxdrivers... I have found out that it happens when I play back something (e.g. in Winamp or in Reason) an then open up some menu (right mouse button -> contextmenu, file etc.)... I then crackles badly until the menu has opened on screen...

I already tried out to fiddle with PCI latency but that did'nt seem to work. The lowest possible setting is 32.

My Hardware:

AMD Athlon 900 Mhz
Gigabyte GA-7IXE4 (AMD 761 Chipset)
256 MB SDRAM 133 Mhz
SB live Value in second-last slot (if agp is first)
ATI Radeon 7000 (LE or whatever - don't know exactly) AGP
2 x 40 GB Western Digital HD
1 x 80 GB Samsung HD
LG Combodrive
oh and some network in the second slot

I have the most actual versions of kx, bios, graphics card driver and am running Win XP SP 1
