Vista KX DSP bug.
I don't know if this is considered a bug. I first noticed it with my SB4780, then my SB0228, then SB0350. This is Vista specific.
When hovering the mouse arrow over objects in the KX DSP window, the help balloons cause 3ghz cpu to jump from 0-5% usage to 55 to 65% (each core in dual core) so long as the balloons are present. Just a bit cpu intensive, (for a balloon). I haven't noticed any performance issues because of it, although I'm not playing or recording if I'm in the DSP. Does that make sense? Doesn't happen in XP. Have there been other similar reports of this? |
