Mafia and GTA3

If anybody else plays these games, can you confirm a prob I've noticed from versions >3530.

In Mafia, if you choose Free Ride (as it gets you straight into a vehicle) is the sound of the vehicle COMPLETELY messed up? For me, even after fresh installs of XP/W2K, I find the sound of the vehicle I'm driving is nothing but digital "squeaks". A friend tells me in GTA3, some samples cut off about 2/3 of the way thru.

The problem isn't there with 3530 and below, just any > 3530 (including 3533b)

I play GTA3 with no sound problems. KX3533b (but it worked fine with KX3528 also).

I've experienced the same proplem as Eden. But in my case it happens with MS Flight Simulator 2002 prof.

In FS 2002 prof. together with 3532 and newer the engine sounds crack up and a lot of high key sqeek like sounds appear.

I'm looking for a solution.

I have the same problem with grand prix 4 with the latest drivers. The crackling, beeping etc....

what happens if you switch your 'default audio device' to 'kx wave 4/5' (not '0/1')?

I've tryed your suggestion Eugene but I'm afraid it doesn't work. I've tryed some things me self but again nothing seems to do the trick. At the moment my surggestion is to youse an early version of your great driver. Currently I use 3228.

try 3534a release (browse the forums to find it)

Bingo !

I tryed 3534a and it's working. I only tryed it briefly but I already get this feeling that 3534a is somehow running more smooth and light also together with my Steinberg software ?!

Anyway thanks for the help Eugene and it is a GREAT driver.
