I use the kx driver since one of the first versions was released. The only version which i haven't tried is 3533. After the installation of DirectX9a (redist),i found at the forum a new solution for my "old" issue. It seems that the localized version of Windows was the problem. But now, i can't verify this because it's impossible to uninstall DirectX9 without a new installation of W2k.

The dialogs was in German language during the installation, but it's the redistributable version of DirectX9a and not the German runtime. I believe like you that W2k now use English device names. Perhaps has Microsoft fixed the bug at the localized Windows mixer - but i don't believe in wonder!
