3548: kX Console menu item not working

I just noticed an odd issue with the kX Console menu item in 3548 (x86).

Clicking on it appears to do nothing (kX Console does not open).

Opening the console manually (using kxctrl) works OK.
The odd thing is, if I restart kxmixer, the menu item works correctly.

Steps to reproduce:
Reboot (may not be necessary if kxmixer has not been restarted since last boot).
Select kX Console from the kX context menu.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Note: This is with WinXP (if it makes a difference).
I tried resetting global settings, and reinstalling kX (in case something got screwy from testing other things), and it did not help.

More info:

Saving or loading a DSP config causes the kX Console menu item to stop working again (until I restart kX Mixer, again).

I found some other causes as well, and it seems that it could be related to the issue with short/long file names.

Adding the kX 3548 directory to the PATH appears to fix the issue with kX Console (but not the issue with short/long file names).

I found the same for both 3548 and 3549.

Actually, in 3549 the kx Manager icon didn't even show up at all on the taskbar until I also added kX 3548 directory to the PATH as Russ did.

The issue with kX Console is fixed in 3550, and it seems that the issue with short files names is fixed in most places as well (as far as I can tell), but registering a plugin or addon still uses the short filename/path.
