Cubase SX Buffer Problem
Hi,
I'm using a SB Audigy, with KX drivers 3554a . this problem actually existed in 3533 too, its wierd, coz it only appeared after i reformatted recently. The problem is, when i playback an audio file in cubase, (under NO CPU LOAD at all) , it plays for 3-5 seconds without any sound, then the sound comes in. It does'nt occur if i play the audiofile from the beginning, but it happens when i play it from anywhere other than the beginning. I figured it was a buffer problem, so i went to change the buffer settings in cubase SX, does'nt work. so i went to change Setup Buffers in KX Drivers, to 0.5 ms, and it works! Sound plays back fine, but shortly after that, my system kept crashing with a blue screen and then reboot. So i change it back to 8 ms, system is stable now, but the playback problem still occurs. What could be the problem ?

I've been experiencing the same problem with cubase sx. Haven't tried changing the asio latency yet.

Hi!
I have had the same problem too, but I don't think it is a kx driver related problem. I think there is a bug in Cubase SX, and you are lucky! There has just been released an upgrade, so download it and hope for the best. (I haven't tested the upgrade enough to see if this problem has gone away, but I guess they have fixed a LOT of problems so they might have!) |
