5.10.00.3549 many problems
Hi,
I`m using kx 5.10.00.3549 on Windows 7 x86 and I got many problems: I changed 2.1 to 5.1 and turn on surround with subwoofer redirection, but only front speakers works. I can change default audio device to Wave Out 2/3 /4/5 6/7 but always work only one pare of speakers. When Maseter Mixer is selected only front speaker works. Sound is not perfect clear, many cliks... Re: 5.10.00.3549 many problems
First of all , increase buffer sizes in the settings.
Second, Master mixer is multi-channel output, wave outs are stereo outputs on each channel, so you can see your soundcard as 3 stereo separate sondcards. That's why you have so many devices. After you clarify this, you have to dig in the DSP. EMU10K1 and 10k2 are DSPs, and eugene has written a nice software to program it. Once you open it, you will see a lot of boxes, and a lot of wires. There are different plugins, each of them modifies or mixes the sound in some way. Plugins can have inputs, this is the fxbus, thus, sound COMING from the computer (EG. what you play in windows), each of it's connections is a channel. The EPilog is the output to the jacks. The prolog has the analog inputs. So, "sound" comes to the DSP via fxbus and prolog , gets mixed, and is wired to the epilog, so it gets to the speakers. What you do between is your choise. You can wire and mix them as you wish. You can use DSP plugins that alter the sound, or delays or eqs and stuff. It's an explanation for newbies, i tried to explain as easy as i could. |
