Installing drivers for SB0060
This is my first post here for an help request...
I have a Sound Blaster Live! SB0060 to install on new computer with Win7 32bit version. The hardware is recognized by OS, I install latest drivers but I always get no sound, I have tried installing the card in different slots many times but without success; what can I do? Thanks |

Re: Installing drivers for SB0060
Which drivers are you installing? If it's the KX driver then try your speakers in the black jack instead of the green. (or un select swap front and rear on the main page of KX mixer)
If you are using other drivers we may need a little more info.

Just now I get only my game port working and I am using the onboard integrated audio, I will disable and give a try by your suggestions. Tried with no difference. In the device manager I get three periferals under sound , video snd game controller: - creative game port - high definition audio device - kx10k1 audio(3550) - Generic is this correct? Looks okay, Don't know if you'll need the game port..... which one of the last two are selected under "Control Panel/Sound" ? That needs to match where your speakers are plugged in.

Re: Installing drivers for SB0060
Yes I need gameport (I have seen that KX drivers can manage game port too but on my previous installation they did not) now HDMI is disconnected the default device is KX10k1 3550, speakers are plugged into SB (tried every plug without success...)

Re: Installing drivers for SB0060
Do you see signal in that "sound" window? You should see several KX10k1 output devices, there is a bargraph meter that will show signal if you have something playing. Speakers should plug into the black jack (rear) for default settings with KX.

Re: Installing drivers for SB0060
Success!!!
I have many outputs with bargraph, SPDIF/AC3 output, Master Mixer, Waveout 2/3, Waveout 4/5, Waveout 6/7 but I can only ear on 2/3 so I have deactivated 4/5 and 6/7 Thank you very much for helping? A last question why KX drivers did not install game port driver? |

Re: Installing drivers for SB0060
The game port driver isn't included anymore, it's always been the same creative driver available from them. Windows7 is supposed to not support that style of game port from what I've heard but if the driver installed maybe it will. Midi functions work even without the game port driver.
