KXdrivers.. decrease performance of computer
tested in different OSs (XP/2003) and sblive.. first with default windows drivers and then with KXdrivers (also various versions...
Doing tests with benchmark software ( superpi, 3dmark, passmark..) and with all all then I get lower scores when using KX.... If anyone havent checked.. run a benchmark with KX and without it.. and compare Solutions? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My only one is unnistall until this bug bein fixed... (I use Kxdrivers cause ASIO but with asio4all I get it and dont decease the performance) |

Why are you expecting there to be no performance hit ? Do you think Kx can do all it does - and do it better than the alternatives - without using any computing power at all ? You can't call it a 'bug' if an excellent (and free) program uses a few CPU cycles ! |

Im Kxuser since first versions... and Ill continueIm only posting cause I have "always" installed KX in all my computers and I didnt notice the extra cpu usage until last week... that I used default windows drivers and I was doing superpi benchmarks I always though that processing was done by the sblive/audigy processors.. and not the cpu. Probably a solution for me will be stop the windows audio service.. cause the perfomance decreases also when Im not using any audio app |
