SPDIF Emu 1010 Input

HI,

I have a 1820m, so a 1010 PCI card and an external dock.

i know the KX does NOT support 44.1k with EMU cards
but if i connect the CD player's spdif output to the 1010 spdif Input AND the kx set to ADAT in ( in the Emu card's specific e-DSP control ) i get sound ( very "fuzzy" but sound ). if it's set to Spdif , no sound at all.
the spdif statut says : not used

can someone explain why it's happening ? i don't understand...

is it just some 44.1k over 48k ? (with some 00's bits does the fuzzzz ) or other mistakes ?
