3550 and Sims 3.
Hi.
When starting The Sims 3 all audio(Winamp playing in the background etc.) loops and the OS(XP32) hangs for between 10 to 50 seconds. It then loads the game and plays fine after that, but if i skip track in winamp via my multimedia keys there's a chance it will hang/loop audio again. This hang/loop bug will persist after i quit the game and start another game(WoW, games via Steam, TDU). As an example i am able to log in to a character in WoW if I've disabled audio just fine, but as soon as enable it it loops/hangs. If switching to ASIO-output in Winamp it only loops a few "frames"of audio(resulting in a buzzing sound), while using DirectAudio it seems too loop the buffer(my uneducated guess). The only real "fix" I've come up with is restarting my machine. - Audigy2 ZS - XP 32-bit - Newest drivers for other hardware - DX9 June 2010 Last edited by Tordenflesk; Jul 26, 2010 at 02:39 AM. |
