headphones output stops working sometimes

System:
win7 64-bit 4Gb

Audiocard:
Audigy 2 (with external box) SB0280

Driver:
kx3550

Audio output (headphones out) from the external box is only working sometimes. Often right channel fails.

Reloading the dsp usually makes things worse. -> both channels fail

reboot of machine solves this sometimes.

sometimes i get stereo audio when booting windows and only one channel when trying to play audio when logged in.

Other channels seem fine (output directly from pci-card)

And when starting a audio/multimedia program and playing from it sometimes takes like 5-10 seconds before playback starts and program seems locked during this. Something is wrong with the initialization..

The same applies in win 7 32-bit on the same machine.
