Hi,

EMU1010 PCIe: Buy Creative E-MU 1010 PCIe Card for MicroDock - E-MU/Creative Professional - Creative Store (UK)
Bought the 20th october 2011

In ikx.h I can read #define KX_HW_SPDIF_RECORDING 12
Then kxctrl.exe -ghw 12 return "Error getting HW parameter"

Hi,

I have more infos:

if driver <= 5.10.0.3541 then kxctrl.exe -ghw 12 return 0. (if driver >= 5.10.0.3541 then it returns "Error getting HW parameter"

Actually during the installation process there is something different.
If kxdrv35XX-full.exe <= 5.10.0.3541 then it allows me to select "Model E-1212M" (and then the device title is "kX 10k2 Audio (3541) - Model E-1212M".
Whereas if kxdrv35XX-full.exe >= 5.10.0.3542 then it does not allow me to select anything during the driver installation process. The driver is selected automatically, and the final name is "kX 10k2 Audio (3550)"

So it seems the bug started from version 5.10.0.3542

There's no such thing as "Direct SPDIF Recording" for the E-mu cards (1010), because SPDIF inputs are not connected to the 10k2 core.

Legacy driver erroneously report that this option is available, while it is actually not.

SPDIF is connected to FPGA Xylinx chip, and it is connected to Emu64 special inputs/outputs, not to the 10k2 SPDIF inputs/outputs.
