Hi, Folks.
I keep getting "problem initializing your soundcard" after install and restart. I have no KX mixer, either. The only way I get sound is to uninstall and then reinstall the E-mu 1.5 drivers. I've tried this four times. Even tried restarting three times (a laboriously long process on my machine) after install to no avail. Driver exe file is kxdrv3534f-full P3, 500 MHz, 640MB RAM, 10 and 30GB Maxtors, FIC motherboard, E-mu APS soundcard (motherboard sound disabled in BIOS) I looked through known issues and many install postings and could find nothing like this. One possible glitch is that the install keeps calling for joystick VXD files from Win 98 installation disk. I would think that would have been part of the install extraction? Any ideas? I would love to start experimenting with larger soundfonts. Been living with the APS limitation since 1999! DZ |

I have found that occasionally the soundcard will want to be in a different PCI slot, maybe try that.
