CD digital problem after hibernate
The CD digital channel becomes disabled (no sound; mute/unmute and changing its level doesn't make any difference) after I bring my computer out of hibernation. The channel works fine when I boot fresh into Windows (XP pro w/o SP1).
The AC97 analog CD channel doesn't have this problem, but it's not routed to my headphones output unless I unmute AC97 in the "ins 'n' outs" page of the mixer. Doing that however 'doubles' the output on my desktop speakers (front analog out). So instead of changing settings back and forth I'd rather use CD digital which works perfectly until hibernation. Here's the info dump from the kX About dialog: ----Hardware / Software configuration--------------- Driver Name:kX Audio Driver (Debug) Driver Date: Dec 4 2003 21:02:54 Driver Version: 5.10.00.3536 - debug DB Name:LiveBay1 CT4760 10k1 [dc00] PCI Information: Device: 21102 Subsys: 80401102 ChipRev: 8 Card has MPU device Card HAS AC97 codec Codec name: SigmaTel STAC9721/23 3D Extension: SigmaTel 3D Enhancement Codec is 2.0 compliant Capabilities[6940] : DAC resolutions : -16-bit- -18-bit- ADC resolutions : -16-bit- -18-bit- Ext Capabilities [200]: -slot/DAC mappings- Port: dc00 Irq: 0x16(22) Playback buffer: 20a0 Record buffer: 4000 Number of AC3 buffers: 4 Tank memory: 256 kb GSIF buffer: 256 samples OS version: [2 5 1 ; 2 5 1 ; 156 148] ---------------------------------------------------- |

The data in the I/O status window doesn't change whether CDSPDIF is working or not. It's always:
SPDIF Inputs: spdif A: unused spdif B: unused spdif C: unused or same as B I2S Inputs: 0: 0 1: 0 2: 0 SPDIF Outputs: 0: 2109204 1: 2109204 2: 2109204 (@48000 Hz) |

that's a little bit strange, since the SPDIF status of your CD is invalid...
re-check the status when there's audio playing /E |
