Clicks in playback-3537-W98SE
Greetings,
I have had 3537 installed a while but just got around to some recording the last week or so. I began to notice clicks in playback so I was attempting to adjust buffers, latencies, etc. I tried the program POWERSTRIP which you can use to adjust PCI latencies. On the computer I was using, I only had 3 PCI slots, no AGP slot, and onboard video. I could not change the IRQ (9) for the video which was the same as one of the sound cards. Switched everything to a different computer last night. I was able to get everything on its own IRQ but the clicking continued. I uninstalled 3537 and installed 3534f. The clicks are gone, and all 3 sound cards are working in sync so I'm satisfied. Don't know if these clicks are a special problem with 3537 and Win 98SE or older motherboards. I think I will stick with 3534f for the time being. |

Buggy User report!
This turns out to be a case of OPERATOR ERROR!
see thread titled "Clicks-3537-Win98SE" in GENERAL DISCUSSION forum for a full confession. Doug |
