rolleyes Kx Asio Not Working Under Win Server 2003

Hi all. I just recently installed Windows Server 2003 on a machine and the KX install went with no problems as usual however non of my music programs will run the ASIO drivers. hey let youopen up the control panel and select the drivers, settings and all but most of the programs say "ASIO driver not found, or not working etc." even though they being recognised. I've done some of the obvious like making sure MFC libraries are there etc. Anyone have any expereince under Win 2003? I've read at the KX site that it has not been tested under iit but in theory it should still work. The Direct Sound portion does work. Anyhow keep doing what you do..

alright go to the advanced page of the speaker setup in windows (where you select 5.1 etc in the windows sound control panel) and make sure that hardware acceleration is set to full
report back here whether that works or not

The drivers work okay for me also in 2003 - with one or two small niggles.

Phew !... thanx god I found this thread.

Yes, the problem is caused by the way W2K3 installs, that is, without using Hardware accceleration... after doing what dj_stick said, everything works perfectly again

Thanx dj_stick, you're the best !!
