problems with the windows sound control
i just installed kX (latest version) and i dj for internet radios (yeh i use the stupid live 5.1 digital sb0220) and tried going to the sound controls of windows (xp pro) and the only option for recroding controls is : recording level, now i wanna set recording on soundcard, how can i do to bring up that control ??? im really a newbie at drivers and sound cards so ill need a little user-friendly help here ;P

System Specs

use the kX mixer, much better than the windows mixer
and take a look at the documents on the kX website, also the getting started guide

wow thx for the fast answer i havent rebooted my pc once yet because its on winxp and i heard various problems about kx not working anymore after a reboot so im trying to install all my drivers (just formatted) before (directx, nvidia video card drivers and such) so for now the kX mixer doesnt appear i was just posting early since i didint expect answer before a day or two :O

System Specs

im on this forum several times a day so you can generall guarantee that you'll get an answer fairly quickly, plus there are alot of other experienced kX users that can help you.
i would try to reboot now and if you get any initialization errors follow the windows xp install guidelines on the kX website (i think on the right-hand side of the main page there is a link there)

hrm i have 1 more question, is there a way to change all the little icons in the mixer into text, cuz i dont know what is my soundcard or line in or mic for recording control and its really annoying :[

when u hover them it says what they are but i cant find no "soundcard" anywhere, i must set the recording input on soundcard in order to stream music on internet radio while being able to talk over

System Specs

in the kX mixer, use the ac-97 page to set the recording input, and in the record window mute the "wave" fader and increae the gain of the "ac97" fader
