Hi there,
I just installed the kx drivers v3534 for my sb live platinum under Win98SE (since v3537 doesn't work with my system). I configured the driver so that when you plug your headphones the speakers are disabled, which is nice for recording. Unfortunately I did that with the headphones plugged in (I know this is silly) and when I unplug them the speakers automatically mute. And of course I can't go backwards ! I tried to: - check/uncheck the option with the headphones in and out - restore the general settings and reboot - uninstall/reinstall the software and driver but nothing changed. Please help (sorry if this issue is known and has already been discussed but I'm a newbie). Thanks ! |

try installing 3537 over the top of 3534f - this has solved the startup issue caused by a straight install of 3537 on win98se

I already tried to install the latest version of the kx driver on top of v3534. All I got was a terrible buzz in the speakers and nothing seemed to work any longer. Anyway, I'll try once again to see it this solve my problem, at least.
Any other ideas ? |

Well, as I thought, reinstalling the latest version of kx on top of v3534 didn't make my soundcard work. At least uninstalling everything and reinstalling v3534 solved my speakers/headphone problem. Phew !
Now I have everything set to test the power of kx and see if it really expands the possibilities of my soundcard. |
