Hello,
I have Guitar Rig, and I can't get it to work. It says in their help that ASIO drivers are recommended (Since all I can select in their settings is DirectSound), so I found out that this program is supposed to simulate it or something. So I got the latest version (full version), and installed. My card is a SoundBlaster Live! CT4830 (Thats ll I know. I have no idea if its value). I installed kX, and it detected at CT4832. I ran the install, and reset at the end like it said (All instructions were followed perfectly). When it started up again, I opened guitar rig, and it now has an ASIO option, but the inputs were missing. All of them. So I open the Kx icon thing in the systray (Windows 2000 by the way) and immediately get lost in the way-too-graphical interface. I somehow end up on speaker test, and notice that it wasnt playing sound. I opened up Winamp 5, and played a song, only to realize that its playing through the headphones I have connected to Line Out 2, and it sounds HORRIBLE. I don't know anything about soundcards, or their setup, so I have no idea how to fix this. I tried re-install and forcing the KX driver to CT4830, but it does the same thing. My soundcard has 5 jacks - Line In, Line Out 1, Line Out 2, Digital Out, and Microphone. It doesnt play out of Line Out 1, Doesnt recognise Line In or Microphone, and shoots out through Line Out 2 sounding like crap. Any help would be nice. Thanks, Andrew |
