Hi People,
KOTOR 2 won't start unless I turn off sounds completley, I suspect this is related to my KX (3537). I have turned oiff EAX and forced software audio. I have an SBLIVE 5.1 and I really don't want to get back to creative's shitty drivers. Anyone has any ideas? Thanks, |

Hello, I had this problem as well. I believe my post was in the gaming forum. Anyways to fix it what I had to do was goto controlpanel/sounds and audio devices then goto the audio and vocie tabs. I am not sure what choices you will get since your card is different than mine, but try selecting kx wave sb0350 10k2 [400] 0/1 for sound playback, sound recording, voice playback, and voic recording. When my game wouldnt launch it was selected as kx wave sb0350 10k2 [400] HQ. Also for KOTOR2 it is very important that your surrounder is set up properly. If you have a surround system, do the speaker test and make sure everything is playing properly or theres a good chance you will be missings tons of sounds (force powers, lightsaber noises, walking, opening closing doors, etc etc.).

To both of you, I have Audigy 2 ZS and kX 3538h and Kotor 2 starts without any problems. Surrounder set to 2.0 stereo only. Default DSP setup.
