KX Driver and Grand Prix Legends

Hi there! I have a problem with the sound in Grand Prix Legends. It klicks and crackles and sounds very noisy... On searching for a solution for this problem i´ve found this file on Racesimcentral (klick for thread). It seems to me like there is a registry flag in the original Creative Drivers, that enables or disables something called "Turbo Mode". Is it possible to Do this in the KX driver? I´d like to use the KX because of better sound and usability, so a fix or workaraound for GPL would be fine.
