Suspected kX Mixer Loading Bug

Hi all:

I'm experiencing a situation where kX Mixer hangs at startup. The mixer loads fine if I log into my account as soon as the OS is up after a restart, but if I wait say 10 minutes or more before I log into my acount after a restart, the mixer always hangs when loading, and I have to Ctrl, Alt, Delete to end the process in task manager, or I have to reset my PC to fix the hanging matter. I'm runing Windows XP (SP2), and kX 3538h . My other system specs are in my signature. Can someone see if they can reproduce this?

Here's the formula:

1.Use an account that requires you to login with a password.

2.Restart the PC.

3.Wait 10 Minutes or more to login after Windows is at the Login screen.

4.Login

5.kX Mixer hangs and wont finish loading.

After logging in, I expect kX Mixer to load without hangin.

What happens is that kX Mixer hangs whenever I wait approximately 10 minutes or more to login after Windows is at the login screen.

The only work around I know for this hanging problem is to login immediately after Windows comes to the login screen after a restart.

kxmixer might conflict with some 3-rd party software... I was unable to reproduce this issue.
is it reproducible?

Thanks for posting and letting me know this. It turned out that one of my IDE Channel devices was on PIO only, I had to uninstall and reinstall that IDE Chennel to get that device to go back to Ultra DMA Mode 5. Now, I dont have any problem with kX Mixer loading.

I'm glad you posted or I wouldnt have known to look for a culprit of this problem elsewhere.
