Mic problems

I have a audigy soundcard with the kx drivers installed. I plug in the mic in the mic jack without any speakers hooked up only my headphones, and i cant get i tto work. I have unmuted the mic in the mixer etc, but cant find anything to make it work. Any suggestions?

That's not a bug. It's probably a configuration problem.
