kX Audio driver package blocks internet access

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me. When I installed the kX driver I got very intermittent internet access via my router. It sometimes took a dozen reboots before my PC eventually saw the router and allowed me in.

I have an AMD64 3000+ based PC with an Audigy Platinum eX sound card. My router is a Draytek Vigor 2600VGi. kX Driver version is 5.10.0.3537.

A typical situation is that after booting up, I simply have no internet access. When I run my router admin software, it tells me that it cannot find the router. My PC is connected directly to the router via ethernet. My son's PC upstairs which connects via 802.11g can access the router absolutely fine. It is just my PC. The moment I un-installed kX, everything went back to normal, so I have now sadly left it off my system which is a shame as it is a damn good driver.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks in advance,

Rob.
