Audigy Ex Line In 1/Mic In Stereo Problem
Thank you for the good work, gentleman. You make Creative look like the corporate bastards they are.
So. I have a problem that I can't really pin down to eather hardware or software...so I'm counting on you to help me out. Me and my band are recording an album. We configured the Audigy to have six mono inputs (and not three stereo ones, thanks again!) and everything went ok. But suddenly there's this bug...When i connect the Mic In (inputs 8 and 9 on kX) it turns out that only 9 provides the signal for the two channels and 8 is hopelessly numb. Simply put, there's a stereo signal, coming only from the right input and no signal coming from the left. My question is, could this be a driver problem, or should i perform a screwdriver excursion? Thanks in advance! |

Ok, figured it out. Pretty stupid though. The Mic In knob should be switched OFF. That's the easy one to see. But I still can't seem to grasp - why is the internal mic preamp (when on) redirecting the input signal so that it ends up being left dual mono? No such problem with the original driver.
Hope my post isn't completely useless to the kX creators. Thank you. |
