epilog/MME recording bug
There seems to be an issue with MME recording while using epilog for the MME connection.
It seems that it does not like being directly connected to FxBus in some cases (similair to the issue related to using an input more than once in microcode). i.e. Clear the DSP and load only FxBus and epilog. Connect Fxbus(4/5) to RecL/RecR of epilog. Play an mp3 or something, and set the application to use Kx Wave(4/5). Open up a recording application, and set it to use MME. Notice that the signal appears to be mono only (if you get any signal at all). Run "kxctrl --gui". Use the "mp" command to view epilog's registers. Notice that RecL/RecR both contain a value of 0. If you connect another plugin (i.e. FxMix) betwen FxBus(4/5) and RecL/RecR, then it appears to work correctly. I am using kx 3538h (I do not know if this issue exists in previous kX versions). BTW: Using other plugins instead of epilog for the MME connection seems to work correctly (even when directly connected to FxBus). -Russ |
