Hey 3538h users!
Does "Stereo Mix + Gain" work well on your PCs? PITmaster |

Yes, works fine with sb350 (A2zs Plat)
I do find some plugins that dont work - assumed were for SBLives as Im not sure what they were meant for. I forget which ones now... I also found that messing around in the DSP for too long starts making strange things happen - like one channel becomming louder than the other even tho a peak plugin shows same levels. (and connectors to sound card were checks too btw.) Sometimes a reboot is all that will 'reset' the error/bug. But I cant alwast re-create..so ??? |

Hmm, maybe it is a 10k1 card thing, as I do have problems with 'Stereo Mix + Gain'.
The In1 slider is OK, but if I touch the In2 slider at all, the signal is extremely amplified and distorted. BTW: I am using 3538i. Last edited by Russ; Nov 26, 2005 at 03:16 PM. |

Gain uses input registers more than once. Maybe that's the problem. Maybe not.
Russ, try to rewrite it to use the input registers only once by buffering them and test again. EDIT : Forget what I just said about rewriting. It's a c++ plugin. I thought it was a dane plugin. Anoter EDIT : The same thing as what Russ described happens with the plugin called "Stereo Mix + gain". It becomes distorted A LOT when I touch the second slider. Yeah, I had thought of that as well, and did try and edit the microcode to buffer the inputs and it didn't help.
I think the problem is with the 'macints' instruction used on the outputs. I think it should be a 'macs' (as it is the fractional part of the second gain). If I edit the microcode to use 'macs' instructions instead in those 2 places, the problem goes away. I am not sure why Maddogg6 is not affected by this. Maddogg6, are you sure you tried the 'Stereo Mix + Gain' plugin, and not another plugin? I sent eYagos a P.M. to let him know. about the problem... Last edited by Russ; Nov 26, 2005 at 03:14 PM. |

Russ, please try not to quadruple post please.
![]() Maybe an older version was included by mistake in 3538i. It happened with the ProFX plugins. |

Quadruple post?
The original post (by PITmaster) was about 3538h, so it is not just with 3538i. |
