It was a curious question as I have seen it on his other posts. I won't steal the thread, I was just curious and think its funny when people jump on the opportunity to point out flaws that may not even be.

I'm going to have my R9800 Pro sitting on my wall with my big p3 hs/f setting on it. Telling my grandkids this is what we had to do back in the day. When they will be using a common nitrogen cooling solution.

a 32mb Geforce 2 GTS or the first Geforce card would imo have more significance

However if i were to choose, i'd probably either get the Voodoo 5 6000 OR the Rampage card that is even harder to find... OR the orginal 3DFX voodoo Rush card (which i found 3 months again

)

i still miss my Voodoo 3 3000 agp though, that was a steller video card, 220mhz core/memory back in the day, which was close to unheard off for that kind of card. My 3DMark01se score should still be present somewhere.

I didn't buy a geforce 2 GTS.... i found one in a case someone threw out!

it just so happened to be a 32mb...

I still prefer my Hercules 4500 Kyro II 64mb

litterly WHOOPS the living shit outa a Geforce 2 GTS/ULTRA and even the Geforce 3.... and when you compare side by side specs, you can see just how whimpy the kyro 2 specs are like, Talk about the geforce lineup being brute force totally inefficient POS

a well.. i will hold onto the dream that powervr releases and gets a new series produced and running.

LMAO, heh I remember buying the GTS, it was like £300 or $550US/$620 Can, what the hell was I thinking. Did me proud this card took me through UT/doom/Hexen etc. Nowadays it'd struggle to render an operating system nevermind a game.

yea....I remember when I 1st started getting into gaming rigs{store bought of course}8 years or so ago.I read about those kick-ass Hercules cards in Max. P.C.I remember going into Best Buy & Circuit City asking for 1.I didnt know any better.But I ended up buying an ATI 128MB card{cant tell you which 1 it was.But it was aftermarket and I was proud as heck of it} and it WAS the greatest thing on earth.I took out an nVidia Riva card and gave it away.Was Hercules the maker?

Heh my Geforce 2 was a hercules. Went something like Hercules Prophet 64mb Geforce 2 GTS. I seem to remember that not to long after I bought it hercules disappeared from the graphics card market.

The card is on a blue PCB with a little tiny weeny black fan on a blue heatsink covering the core and it has blue passive heatsinks on each Ram module, oddly the s-video slot between the DVI and AGP slots is a removable plug in module almost like an afterthought, I wonder what else could have plugged into that? Actually it's quite a nice looking card if I say so myself.

Hercules and there BLUE PCB were actually creative in there design....

It REALLY sucks that hercules screwed something up bad enough that they pretty much completely dropped out of the entire PC market.

Man, if they came back, i'd betcha they'd have a kickass lineup again.

If i also recall correctly, when hercules was pretty much solely making cards with nvidia chips, and they decided to get the kyro 2 and ati cards going again, nvidia stop supplying. This was when nvidia was being the total asshat jackass of them all. Yes moreso then they were every before. And this was when they got on there highhorse with the 3dfx buyout recently to.
