ForSale Antec TrueControl 550W PSU

Antec True Control 550W PSU

It has been used for about 2 months total. It is a great little Power Supply. I paid $150 for it new when I got it. I'm not asking much, I am taking offers or trades. I'll also post pics when my girlfriend gets back with the camera.

The great thing about this psu is you have full control of your rails. You can set them to be exact. I set them awhile back (not sure if they are still exact). Under load I think there was a minimal 1-2% change (.03). It is rock solid and if I didn't have a nice modular supply then I would use it. $40 shipped.

I also added an OCZ ModStream 450W PSU in perfect condition. You can only get 1 PSU or the other as I need to use 1! $42 shipped.

btw, what's the asking price?

also, when you take pix, take pix of all the ends of the cables. the few pix i came across online didn't have very good pix of the cables of the PSU.

just go to edit the picture(s), and say "save as" and just over-write the file and the file size will be about 60% to 75% smaller

a couple questions, rather important too after looking at the pix.

does is it have a 24 pin and the 4 pin to the MoBo? Does it also have it's own dedicated PCI-E line? Asking because it's a bit hard to tell in those pix.

Well, it most likely won't have that, but I would be looking to sell my ocz modstream 450W instead which has 1 4pin cpu connector, 1 20+4 mobo, and 1 dedicated PCI-E line. I need monies! lol

looks like that's a standard 20 pin, 4pin PSU (atx 1.2? )

So 1 main power 20 pin connection, and one 4pin for the 12v aux into the board.

Not going to manage it without getting adapters for the standard molex.

Plus there is only one 12v rail, and it looks like 24amp, so it doesn't look like it's all that powerful.

Not a bad psu at all, just something that i wouldn't use in a machine that requires a seperate PCI-EX power connection or something all that powerful of a machine at all.

I'd easily stuff it in the machine i've got here running a 300 psu atm, radeon x800 AIW, amd 2600+ thoroughbred, 1gb of DDR.

Just to add some info to this thread.. I have used one of these PSU's for years. Currently powering my latest rig with a 20 to 24 pin adapter. Working fine.

Some interesting PSU articles. THE most important on the net when it comes to PSU reviews to me.

Why 99% of Power Supply Reviews Are Wrong

Not trying to sell your PSU for you, but it is a really good PSU.. If the 12v rails suffice your needs, it is bullet proof.
