FS: Retail ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (Lower price!)***SOLD***

Radeon 9700 Pro - click for pictures***SOLD***

This is a retail "Built By ATI" Radeon 9700 Pro, not an oem. and was originally purchased in Jan. '03. It will ship in the original ATI retail box and all original accessories and driver CD. I will also include the original heatsink and fan assembly that was removed for this mod.

The original hsf has been notorious for it's inadequate job of proper heat dissipation. I purchased and modified the hsf you see in the link above 3 weeks ago to accomplish the job that the original hsf would not. As you can see in the picture, I modified the heatsink to account for the shim surrounding the VPU, which is still in place. This card runs completely cool to the touch and is mated to the VPU with Arctic Silver II.

The specs on the hsf are; hs weight, 220g., 60 fins, solid copper - fan 60x60x10, 5300rpm, 40dBA, 24.4cfm. This mod blocks only the first PCI slot closest to the AGP slot. For me the fan noise is quite tolerable and hardly noticeable, but if it's too much for you, a Zalman Fanmate or other suitable device can be used to slow the fan down to an inaudible level and still achieve complete cooling with this solid copper hs.

Included with the pictures at the link above are screenshots from the ATI Inspector adapter utility software that lists the cards specific info, i.e; part #, bios #, etc.. This card has never been flashed with a different bios or been modified in any other way other than the heatsink/fan mod.

Several hours (around 4) and dollars ($30) went in to this high quality and professional looking mod, and it is guaranteed not to arrive DOA and in perfect working condition. While my Heatware ratings below are few, you'll notice that I've been given high marks for quality transactions with solid packaging and quick shipping.

I would like $280 shipped. Now $270, shipped! This may be a little higher than the average retail Radeon 9700 Pro sold here, but this is a professional quality VPU cooler modification that you can't find just anywhere. Many would like to do it, but don't have the time, tools, or skills to accomplish the task.

Thanks for looking!

Okay folks...I'll go $10 bucks less, but that's going to have to be it.

I'll take $270 shipped!
