Buying Voodoo

Does anyone have an old voodoo they would sell? Like, one of the small ones (Not the guge 600 type) that connect to the 2D card? And if the 2D card can do 3D then do the games let you pick which card you wanna use? Thanks.

How much would you sell em for? Are they better then a Rage Pro 8MB?

They are much better. Its still not what you would want to play current games with. They have 24M of ram and are about the same speed of a voodoo 3 which is half the speed of a voodoo 4, which is half the speed of a voodoo 5 5500 which is about the same speed as a GF2. I hope you know the aproximate speeds of nvidia cards.

Craig...24megs?
You must be thinking SLI.
These are two crappy Voodoo2's, with I think 12 & 8 MBs.
I am not sure they are working at all, although last I checked a year ago, they both were.
I'd more than likely give you both for shipping only, but be advised, I am in the Caribbean so it may cost a bit.
Even if it's cheap to ship, let's speculate 5-10 dollars, you'd still need the VGA extension to connect to the video card, I'd have to look for that or get it off one one of my mates if they have.
Let me know and I'll get more info on the details, and commence looking for them.

Yeah, I was thinking of how I had my voodoo cards set up. They went really that good in non-SLI mode.

Could you just send it by mail? Like, put a lot of stamps on it? Or will that not work since I'm in Canada? And, Did the Voodoo4 connect too the 2D card as well? That card would seem ideal. Do ALL the Voodoos connect to the 2D card?

2 Voodoo2s then... I'm just thinken like if I could get 2 of em for under 20$ somewhere... My little bro, some of his games could run better and he's getting an Xbox I think but if you could get all his current, or at least old games maxed out for cheap then that would be good. He's keeping the Rage Pro cause he has the TV Tuner for it, so he has to keep it in... yea. WHat are the Rage Pro specs? Like pixal pipelines and such? And the voodoo 2 SLI's?

Tell me what games your planning to play, because the dual voodoo2s really are not good anymore. Anything after unreal one/quake 2 would barly run on them.

The voodoo3 3500tv has a tv tuner in it. You would be better off with the voodoo 3 than the dual voodoo 2s.

Well a cheap (or even free) performance boost from the cards would be nice. But, Midtown Madness 2, Need for speed high stakes and hot pursuit, monstertruck madness2, a few I forget, but he could always get good old cheap games from the bargin bin right?

You could acctually get a PCI vooodoo 5 5500 for pretty cheap. On that same note, you could get a PCI GF4MX.

$20 will get you a lot better card than a Voodoo2, so you really would do best to get , perhaps, an ATI Rage Fury 32MB.
But if you like I'll send the Voodoos for you if you want them.

you can have 2 video cards in a mchine but they have to support it along with the version of windows and there are many PCI cards out there from geforce MX to radeon 9200.... I also have a voodoo and voodoo2 laying around somewhere and I think I have the extension somewhere but You would be better off with a newer video card and you could even get a newer one with a TV tuner or just a PCI TV Tuner there only about $20 - $30

Powerz, I emailed you, but just in case.
I saw a deal for an original Radeon with 32MB DDR for $25. I think this might be perfect for you.
I put the guys email address in the email I sent you.
He also has the original geforce2 MX for $20 if that was all you wanted to spend
