WTB: MMC card

I just got a MP3 player, and I know nothing about the media. I need a minumum of a 256M MMC card for it and I want to get one as cheaply as possible. Does anyone have one they dont use anymore, or know of a store that sells them fairly cheap? (It came with a 128M card, but I think thats a little too small for some of the longer jobs I need to go to)

I think that MMC is compatable with Secure Digital (SD) cards. However, there are slight differences. The SD card is more secure in that you can protect files (not needed for you). Secondly, SD is usually faster to write to, but is more expensive. Thirdly, the SD format is VERY widely used ( it is the top or second format, along with Compact Flash), and they best price to pick it up is at your local best buy or curcuit city. I just bought a 256meg SD card for $60 after mail in rebate. Im waiting for 512meg cards to come below $80 beofre I purchase one. And they also announced that with a new manufactoring process, they can make 1gig SD cards! SO that will drop prices even more. Go geta 256meg SD card and be happy. THe Best Buy price is cheaper than ANYWHERE...including eBay and newegg. Brian
