is that card better then this:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-326&depa=1
just the card, not the other stuff that comes with it, im thinking about getting the sapphire, but if yours is better, then i might just do it. Please dont lie tho, i really dont want to mess up in buying a new card.

well this is a stock built by ati...

alot of the sapphiers don't have use of the overdrive feature. That card is clocked the same! it says 500/650 but in the comments people mention...and the specs are actually 500/600

Quote:
Andrew,4/8/2004 6:46:33 PM

I ordered it on Sunday and it came on Wednesday, a day earlier than NewEgg said it would. This was my first time every buying from NewEgg, but I must say it was a pleasure and was very simple to do. NewEgg's customer service is the best bar none.

As for the card, it is pretty sweet. It ships 500e/600m, .......

Very Nice Card. the RV360 is a very fast little VPU. ....
the memory on the other hand is 600mhz not 650Mhz like newegg says.
and doesnt overclock near as good as the 2.8ns memory on my Ti4600 card.
i decided on this card only because it said "650Mhz memory".
i now regret not buying a more feature rich with better cooling.

...chances are im gonna send this card packin'
I'm guessing it's a mis print.
So yea I'd say it's better it's clocked the same, it's a built by ati retail that means like 3 years warrenty!
and you get half life 2 free via steam when it comes out!

that sapphire is OEM that mean 90 days or at most 1 year warrenty!
no voucher= you don't get half life 2

I paid $199 for this card about 3 mo. It's like new I just bought it as an inbetween i won't need it anymore,

I have everything it came with all nice and neet, can ship the box but would prefur not to becouse for 1 its just a box for two its added size= more shipping charges

That card are most likely the same (execpt mabe overdrive wise on the sapphire) but with this you get half life 2 when it comes out that's a good $49 right there!!! so i'd say its a good deal if you in the market for a 9600xt

it's up to you

this is the image from the ati site for you, if you care see what it looks like

Thats' a nice little card- How far do those "usually" overclock too?

I remember reading reviews where they went really high on the core- like 100mhz or something, can't remember though....

well these cards a clocked so high stock they can handle it. for eample a safe
normally 10% on the gpu is 60 Mhz ...

I woundn't know how well this on o/c couse i've never felt the need to....

If I was using a Geforce 4 ti 4600 or something like that still, I would scoop this up. These are about as fast as a 9700pro in many circumstances in the reviews I have seen, especially when you OC it-

Neon, I can't promise anything but my dad might be interested. I'll be palming my old2.4 P4 off onto him at the end of the month but he needs a video card to put in my old mobo. I have no idea what the shipping costs would be to the uk. or if you would actually ship to the uk.

Plus there is the minor inconvenience of customs smacking VAT and import duty onto the card.

If he is interested I'll PM you tomorrow (monday 19:00 GMT). If you dont hear from me, then he is being the stingy old git that I know him too well for.

Well...if Neon just would write "gift" on the package it could slide right through customs.....a friend of mine ordered some stuff directly from the states, and they marked the package with "gift"...voila!! no customs fee...

Ah, the good ol' gift trick - doesn't work here now. Customs have cottoned on to the ebay crowd getting stuff brought in from abroad and a high percentage of incoming packages are now checked. Boohoo!

Bad news I'm afraid mate. Just spoke to the old man and he's not really prepared to shell out for it. To quote the miserly old sod "What the hell would me and your mother want with one of those? All we do is do the odd bit of shopping and use it for email cant we just use the one weve got now? Its not like we are playing games on it"

I tried to explain that when he tries to plug the old 3.3v agp card into MY motherboard which I am letting him borrow, he will most likely kill the card and the board and if he does, I want 100quid for the board. For some bizarre reason he is under the impression that I dont know what I'm talking about.
