Hi well I don't know if this is the right place, if not I will delete my post, but I am looking for people who would be interested in helping me set up a high speed internet cafe/Lan gaming zone in the North East of England.
What I would be most interested in is anyone with networking experience, or with a little spare cash to invest.
Basically this is a semi business/social project, as it will give opportunities to learn Networking and computing skills to disabled or socially disadvantaged individuals, although the primary focus will be on the business aspect of the project. Without wishing to go into too much detail, the idea is to provide access to unrestricted high speed internet services and private disc storage over a period of time on a single time limited per user account basis.
It is early days and we are just looking around for suitably qualified, interested individuals. But we think there could be a future in this as (massively) multi player gaming is likely to become a catchword for the future and at the moment there is no facility catering for the growing interest in this field. We will simply be providing a permenat facility where gamers (and other members of the public) can meet regularly and socialise, instead of being stuck in their bedrooms for several hours (or days) at a time.
