1000' cat5, 100 rj45 caps, crimper, & test tool for $42.50us

I just caught this deal off of TechDeals for 1000 feet of cat5, 100 rj45 caps (network plug thingies), crimper (to put the network plug thingies on ), & test tool for $42.50us!!!

As I write this looking at a 70' run & 100' run that I paid $12us for and thought I got a decent deal, but this is a freaking home networking kit in a box! (I never got a crimper, so I've always just run pre-made cables...BIG holes.

)

I really wish I would have seen this deal about a month ago, but I don't think I can justify getting it since me networking needs are covered. (BTW-If'n you do happen to take 'em up on this deal, could you mention I sent ya? I have no idea who this company is, but I figure it can't hurt....

)

Um, Dig.. I see that you were taking my advice to sell things around the house. HAHHAHA...

edit: I didn't realize till now that DIG wasn't selling something. I glanced too quickly I guess.

Yes! I just ordered that network cable set, a microphone (they added speech to hl online!) and an ATA-133 card with RAID (I have 4 hard drives, soon to be 5, and I am already using all of my IDE slots/cables...)

Oh, my PC weighs around 80lbs! I have way too much stuff in it... I'm not going to make a four-drive array, since three of my drives are full with stuff I can't delete... and the fourth is Linux. I'm probably going to get a 5th drive, and then delete Linux, then raid 0 them, then install linux and a new copy of windows xp on there...

I have my reasons for the extreme hard driveage, including the fact that DV video runs approximately 12gb to the hour, and I have multiple projects with lots of good footage running at the same time (none that are really mine - I'm just being helpful and doing a mite of editing for mis amigos... but until I get some tapes to put the final on, or a DVD burner, I'm stuck with the footage
