Asus a7v8x Deluxe 4 Sale
It was bought on 10/25/02 and is the fully loaded model(retail) with USB 2.0, Firewire, Serial ATA w/RAID, sound and 10/100 LAN. It works flawless with my R9700Pro at 8x agp and it also unlocks the new Tbred cpus. I'm asking $80 shipped express anywhere in the US, and it comes in the original box with all papers/manuals and cds(original receipt included; paid $150 btw) If interested please PM me or email me at impala71@attbi.com
PS. You can check it out here http://usa.asus.com/mb/socketa/a7v8x/overview.htm Edit- I can also throw in a DragonOrb hsf and a XP unlocking kit for any Palomino owners you would like to unlock their cpus. The kit is brand new(never used) and you can get the details here http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2...tegory_Code=OC SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited by dipstick; Jan 28, 2003 at 06:39 PM. |

ASUS' site doesn't list this board as having RAID. Does it?

Yes it does, but I think you can only use it with 2 serial ATA drives. Not to sure how it works since I have never used it but it definitely has it. |

I tryed the Raid 0 with 2 Abit serial ATA/ATA adapters and it didn't work very well and ended up going to a master/slave setup. Si Raid chip seemed work OK, it created the array really easy; but I had all kinds of problems and errors until I gave-up on it. So fugue on buying new serial HD's if you want to use the Raid. Really not much different in speed from normal to Raid; if you feel the need go for it.
