Has any of you got this yet?
It looks very fun, I love open world games.
I am considering getting the PS4 version (not going to get a Uplay game)
I found the Gold edition at about 20% more than the regular edition so I am definitely considering it.
Even though I said I wouldn't buy another full price new game unless it's something special.

It's so tempting. I have a SOFT spot for open world games since....well, since the 80s! This game looks great.
    The question is....this game....or.....Horizon Zero Dawn? :(

I'd go with Horizon: Zero Dawn, hands down. What makes Ghost Recon Wildlands so damn good is the ability to play with friends. It sort of like Destiny.

You don't have to though. I don't. Just like with Destiny. ;) BTW, Wildlands has an offline mode.

I would go with Horizon too. At least go with that first, but still pick up Wildlands when it goes on sale.

I assume both games had huge patches so far, right?

GRW, first patch was almost 3GB, 2nd was 5GB, but you might only get the 5GB one.

Horizon has had 3 I think, all less than 300MB each if I recall.

Yeah Horizon: Zero Dawn's patches have been tiny.

Cool, thanks. The problem is Ubisoft doesn't tend to release GOTY editions (patched games with the DLC included) so at least for that, there is no point in waiting for a GOTY edition to come out. Of course I could wait for the price to go down, which it will eventually.

Well, way I see it, you have two paths, both of which lead to a real fun time. They are both real good games, whichever one you choose to sink your teeth into right now won't matter.

My son has Wildlannds and it does look good and I will pick it up in a few months, However Zero Dawn was a present and so far I have logged over 80 hours ingame and not finished the main story .... not that its a big story I just love exploring the game

From what I have seen, Wildlands is like a larger more detailed, third person, Far Cry 3-4 game.
Zero Dawn is like that but with different setting, or is gameplay completely different?

Good way to describe it. Or The Division meets Far Cry. Co-op is where it's at though as the AI teammates are borderline useful as fodder and/or distraction. Or to save your ass when you go down.

Horizon Zero Dawn is my game of the year its a rich story set in a vibrant living breathing world and at the end I had logged over a 100 hours of gameplay, there are not many games that sucked me in like HZD .... Polished to an insane degree I would give it a go
